About Me
I am a
Introduction
I'm Aaron Doucett, a geospatial professional and creative problem solver with a background in GIS, Earth observation, and data-driven storytelling. Over the past decade, I've worked on everything from climate research and urban planning to developing marketing strategies for cutting-edge geospatial technology.
I've built this site to share my work, passions, and the projects that keep me inspired. Thanks for visiting — take a look around, and feel free to connect.
My Story
I grew up surrounded by the landscapes of Western Massachusetts, where I developed a love for exploring nature. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Earth Systems, I moved to the Greater Boston area, where I spent a decade building my career in geospatial technology and SaaS platforms.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about creativity and the outdoors. I've been playing jazz piano for years and enjoy photography. Endurance sports are a key part of my life — as an avid cyclist and runner, I love pushing my limits. These experiences have taught me resilience, discipline, and the power of setting big goals.
Now living in St. Louis, I'm exploring new horizons both professionally at Planet Labs and personally in the Midwest.
